Killing time

"I see it as a good thing that we have so much space. I can sense when Dan needs to go and do his thing. When we're apart and he tells me he's come up with songs, I'm pleased because that's the person I fell in love with. If I felt I was taking that away from him, I'd be firts to put him on a plane and say: 'Time for another writing trip'."

That's the sweetest thing I've heard in a while. That was Natalie Imbruglia's comment on living on opposite sides of the globe away from her hugely talented rocker hubby, Daniel Johns. It kinda takes mutual marital understanding to a whole new level.

For those who've listened to SevenCollar T-Shirt's Drones, must, must listen to their live interpretation of the song at the recent Pesta Muda-Mudi 2 at Hard Rock Cafe. They've almost made it into a completely different song. The arrangements is lush-er, there's changes in the chord progression, there's even a solo break and Ham showed that he can be quite the chameleon by lashing out Her Reverie-ish pluckings throughout. Texted him later on after the I'm done watching the bootleg and persuaded him to record it and upload it on the website for download. He said it's definitely under consideration. Whoppeee.

Joe has become quite an acquaintance so far. Chatting with him is kinda fun and quite resourceful since he talks about the on-goings in the underground scene from a different perspective. He sent me 2 of his under-progress songs via MSN and they're good. But -as he admitted himself- needs crucial changes. I was going through my recorded stuff and I stumbled upon Cempulan's first multi-track recording with vocals. It was during the early stages with unconfirmed arrangements and sans chorus. Gave it to him for feedbacks and he said I should get a girl. Claims I'm a moving emotional-train wreck. Heh. Funny guy.

Shaela posted Panggilan Rindu (Dan Awan Pun Menangis...)'s lyrics at her blog. Her new layout's neat.

I'm doing my MyKad tomorrow. With all these facial hairs I'm 'breeding', I'll probably make it to the FBI's 50 Most Wanted list. Fame, fame.
