9/11
Alright people. Here are the new additions in my 'Loo' mp3 playlist. Thank you, everyone.
Clann Zu - Words For Snow (Finally. After numerous attempts, it's a file in my hard drive at last. Do not laugh, Li)
The Album Leaf & Sigur Ros - Streamside (Brilliant! Stupendous! Encore! A definite must have! Get it here. Now!)
The Black Heart Procession - Tropics Of Love (Okay. I GOTS TO HAVE Amore del Tropico stat! Fucking wicked!)
Coco Rosie - Good Friday (Sounds like Jolie Holland taking a rather flower-power outing this time around while high on LSD and the likes of it. Explains the hallucinating vocal overdubs. Trippy. Surreally trippy)
*All tracks are surprisingly downloaded in the minimum time frame of 25 minutes. What's so special about that you say? Heck, it was downloaded from Ye Ol' FSPU's ever-fringing computer lab! Using UiTM's standard LAN! How marvey is that! The last time I downloaded DDA's Dream it took me a friggin' 2 hours! These moments are so rare indeed.
Ehem. Focus.
Post-Friday prayers, me and Zhaf headed for the comp. lab for you-know-what. Fast forward to 2 hours later, there was a commotion in the next lab. We were there in the 1st place before we were told to move into the current lab we were in since a test will be held. One of the students went unconscious and fell on the floor from the chair. A sudden panic arose but it was nothing out of proportion. My hunch was right. It was Ijoy's Sekincan mate, Khairul Fitri. We were unsure at that moment what really went wrong with him but he was perhaps having epilepsy and had a fit. Even his closest buddy knew nothing about his medical conditions. Hazardous. There wasn't enough guys around so the both of us lent our typing hands (we were typing e-mails) and my god, thankfully it was enough. He's quite a load to carry around. Then it struck me. What if it was me? They ought to call a crane for sure. Scarry. Anyways, he came about quite soon enough. But he was 'somewhere' else. Dillusional. Then the lab dude and all 5 of us sent him to the Transportation Unit for the ambulance. And here's where we realized how self-centered the UiTM staffs really are. Okay, it's past 4:30 but hey, a kid's having a situation here we don't know of. Might be fatal. Bastards. Not only there's hesitations and alah-aku-kene-balik-cepat-nie-nanti-bini-aku-meradang moans heard, they acted with so much ease that it made Baywatch's opening sequence looks like Justin Gatlin's gold medal dash. And where was the kid's lecturer all this while? Oh, great. Another asshole. So the ambulance eventually took off. The three of us (including one of Khairul's classmates) had to walk all the way back to Ye Ol' FSPU. My diskette was still in the floppy drive. Fortunately we came with Adam's bike. It would be too much for us if we had to walk back to the dorm. Saving lives sure ain't easy. We learned our lesson. Class dismissed.
Obituary Birthday: To all of 9/11's fallen souls, rest well.
Today proved to be another boring Saturday. Well yeah, the OM students were holding a Misteri Nusantara kinda exhibition but I was too drained to even take note. Bumped into Boy on the way back from dinner. Gleefully telling me that he already owns Ape Kill Ape. Damn you. I'm out of cash, dammit. Went straight to his room after Isyak for a quick preview of the CD. Yup. I'm getting one myself, no doubt. The Apes really went all-out this time. The last track, Feedbach was a play of various levels of constucted *coughs* feedbacks that lasted up to 13-minutes! Jamir of Prana who guests on Wisdom did a great job at unleashing DDA's reggae potentials with his laidback vocals. It's the album's oddball for sure. In Tents was of course, intense. But perhaps E Minor Bells was the definite highlight. The drama is beyond dramatic. Murderous. With 10 meticulously-crafted-to-perfection songs altogether and a neatly laid out album package, it's definitely a must-have for the year of '04. I'm going bananas over this lot of smelly simians all over again.
Out. Be nice & happy hunting everyone.
