"Can't you hear my motored heart? You're the one that started it."

Insomnia strikes again. At 1640hours? Blerghh.

It's been a while since I was awaken from my slumber by phone texts. I got two for starters this morning. Hafeez text was obviously 9 hours too late. I blame it on either of our service provider's messaging server. He did kept his word by cross-checking with me what are the CDs available at Paul's last night. Alia blurted a text praising the brilliance of KLPHQ. So, Irman, Loque and the boys caught her fancy in a jiff. I thought she's done but boy was I wrong. I should've seen that one coming. I was munching on the remaining lenghts of a banana when the cell buzzed. It's her (Who else?), live from Batu Pahat via Maxis. And the whole conversation revolves around 4 things:

1) KLPHQ (Agreed my dear. They do attempt too many things with too little of a moment)
2) Free Love (Nonetheless)
3) Faiz (Apparently they met Faiz. Nothing to go "Uih?" about. It's Faiz. That kid haunts every gig. You need a break from gigging bro. SPM. SPM!)
4) My birthday "celebration" (I don't need to explain those inverted comas do I?)

I don't know what's up with me today but right after Zohor I dozed off for a good 3 hours or so. Post-birthday hangover perhaps? And again, phone texts woke me up. Izzat and family sent me a belated birthday greeting. Thanks dear friend (Tell Amy I miss her). Hafeez's second text this time around was about his acknowledgment of Free Love's greatness and also informing me that they bought Her Reverrie's EP for my Happy 19th present. For 8 bucks (Cheapskates! Heh). Thank you, all. And Alia texted me another 3-4 times. Contracting balik kampung boredomness it seems. Apologies. No phones available for abduction thus, abusation is out of the question.

For a moment Iast night I felt 'stuck' in Kansas. Smallville to be precise. Watching 22 episodes back-to-back can be hazardous. Micheal Rosenbaum is the best Lex Luthor ever. Hands down. He has this certain devillish swagger that's charming enough for him to be admired. Alas! For once I have a favourite villian! Hurrah!

Alright. I now officially fancy Keane. They're not there yet in my list of favours but while Fran Healy got his hands full beautifying occupations and Chris Martin's busy making siblings for Apple Blythe, these guys are the necessary substitute. Snowed Under is a sweetly soaring number and Walnut Tree reminds me of The Observatory's This Sad Song. Neat.

Fuzzy miss buzzed. I've yet to thank her personally for Everette & Eddie (after revealing them that is. I'm not that ungrateful). Sorry dear. But I think you know me well enough. So again, thank you.

In other news, Ibu called and I talked to Ayah. He sounded better than our previous chat but he insists that his recovery rate is downright slow. But at least it's not decending. I was told that Mak came all the way from JB to babysit those two (I'm lost for words Mak. I know your glory days are way behind you and Baby Haziqah needs you. This is beyond appreciative. It's heart-wrenching). This is where I feel insanely useless. Argghh!

Be nice & happy hunting everyone.

-I need you. Whomever you may be. I need you-
