Hello Again

Hurm. Just so you'd know that the writer of this blog is free from all exam worries. Yes, the Pa'an is back in good ol' USJ (Am seriously considering writing a song for my beloved yet at times loathed hometown. Oh, sounds so Phantom Planet-ish)

What happened to me for the past 10 days or so? I can't recall much. But FYI, the exam was chaotic. The crew said Costing was hell they even had a "Screw You UiTM!" middle finger-flash fest after that. Accounts was a major upset with almost everyone getting the same wrong answer. Me included. But hey, if Ms. PriceWaterHouseCooper Naimah shared the same answer as I am, It can't be bad right? Yesterday's Management paper was fair enough. It was a smooth sail throughout. Ah, and yes. I am home.

My journey from the spanking new bus terminal that is Medan Gopeng to the heart of KL was accompanied by Ayun and her mate (I reckon it's your class mate, Fuzzy) that I felt idiotic enough not to ask her name. Met them both by chance at the campus' bus stop (thanks Afiq). Upon arrival in CM, Ayun was kind enough to invite me for break-fast with them. McD was the place. Lovely. My first bite of Big Mac after 3 long months. Orgasmic. After a long chit-chat, we parted ways. Thanks for helping me out with the luggage, ladies.

Apart from my family, there's only one person that is certainly happy for my homecoming. Alia. If everything goes right, our debut engagement is underway tomorrow. The place? Andrew's magic den. Where else? Anjakan Paradigma is to fully commence soon.

There's quite a handful of new changes in the house. We now have our very first fax machine with a ringing tone that has already irritates me for the umpteenth time, someone's got approval for sporting a decently-long hairdo (Akim!), my room is surprisingly tidy and very much in order (Akim!), my Jagmaster needs to be serviced (strings are getting way-out-of-hand rusty. Un-Comfortably Numb), were days (maybe weeks) away from installing Streamyx, and there's a new weight scale. "Strictly for 60 kg and below" or so as *Ayah says. As if I care. Heh.

So woke up this morning at Alia's text. Traded a few then I'm off downstairs reading the dailys and whatnot. Suddenly I felt something calling. Yes, it was 'something'. It was my dear Kapok. My 1st ever six-string. It sounded as warm and as fat as I remembered it to be the last time I used it albeit the extremely worn-out strings. This is my muse. Picking it up again, I was instantly inspired to finish my soon-to-be 3rd Malay ditty. Just settled with the intro. Quite a workout as I have to constantly switch from Delay pluck-to-Clean strum at a drop of a hat. I'm relying on my trusty Kapok once again for Anjakan Paradigma. I need this. Hopefully the newbie Jagmaster could offer ideas as well. The Jag, although new, has contributed some earth-shattering, otherwordly riffage that I never dreamt of making. I have this certain modjo with guitars or any instrument for that matter. Inspiration seems to struck whenever I lay my hands on instruments I've never touched before. This is later explained by J Mascis and Kevin Shields as they also experience the same thing.

Shit. They're closing up early this month for Ramadhan. Laters.

*Ayah = As many has explained their confusion, 'Ayah' is my current stepfather. My biological Ayah will from now on refered as (Arwah) Ayah.
