A Brief

A lot of going-ons flew by me but not without leaving noticable/memorable scars/marks. And my being too caught up with the consequences following the said events forbids me to update this space as often as I would like. This 2nd half of 2006 is so far, twisty. Life-changing if it is to be magnified appropriately. For starters, I should've graduated.

Yeah, I am still a Boterian through and through. Extending my study plan means a whole lotta damage to the budget since I've to live off campus. You know, the works. Renting a place, paying bills, maintaining your sanity, cutting down on food consumptions (a whole lot), fully utilizing your survival skills and spontaneous ingenuity (doubling the ricecooker as an electric kettle proved to be a fruitful discovery. We now have carbohydrated drink. Tastes starch-y) and hoping every single day that you won't have to settle with instant noodles for lunch/dinner for the next day.

No. 20 Persiaran Iskandar Perdana 50,
Dataran Seri Iskandar,

My new zip code. Write that down.

This single-storey, low-cost crib is not bad for my first ever bachelor pad. With 3 bedrooms, a bathroom and a toilet plus tile flooring, a monthly rent of RM170 couldn't be a better start to this newfound life. Hapis, Faroq and Yat have been marvey housemates so far. Old chum Am will be joining the gang in a few days. The neighborhood is quite serene. Apart from Shaf and Alep who's living in front of us, nothing much can be said about the other neighbors. Pretty much occupied with their day jobs and family, I guess. Urban dejavu? Highly likely. Distance wise, it's a good 2 km away from my faculty. I'm applying for a car but at the moment I'm riding shotgun in Shaf's Saga. All in all, I am enjoying every second of it. Same goes with classes. All is well.

Things back home are kinda swell. Or is it? Perhaps I'm seeing things in a different shade of grey. Like how I'm seeing Syamil's retirement from the band to be an eye (and ear) opener. Yeah, he left. Unfortunately for reasons that are unknown to me. I was told by Azhar, not himself. For what it's worth, it was a pleasure working with such talent. All the best to you. So the band is as of this moment, a quartet. I did buzz Ajil since he crossed my mind instantly as a replacement. But as the four of us talked about the future, Syamil's departure made us realize that we can do more with what we have. With only the 4 of us. We saw the possibility of doing things that we never thought of doing. The 'Less Is More' credo seems to be a suitable one to adopt. Oh and, we're 90% sure of playing a show on the 28th somewhere in Melaka. It'll be fun I hope. It's a good slot to test-drive our new tunes.

Ok then. Laters.
